Making Italian Marriage Soup

While the name gives the impression that this soup might be meant to be served at an Italian marriage, it is not actually so. In fact the there has been a mistranslation of the original name, “minestra maritata,” in fact means to the mixture, therefore “wedding” of meat and greens in the soup.
